EVI endorses Laura Friedman for State Assembly, District 44

EVI is excited to add Laura Friedman to our roster of Endorsed Candidates. Her years of public service embodies EVI's progressive values and service to not only her constituents but the people of California.

After serving seven years on the Glendale City Council, including a term as the Mayor of Glendale, Laura Friedman was elected to the California State Assembly in 2016.

In her time in office, she served as the Chair of the Assembly Natural Resources Committee, Chair of the Assembly Select Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and Chair of the Joint Rules Subcommittee on Sexual Harassment Prevention and Response. She currently serves as the Chair of the Assembly Transportation Committee and the Chair of the Bicameral Legislative Environmental Caucus.

Laura lives in Glendale with her husband Guillaume Lemoine, a landscape designer, and their daughter Rachel.
